In Here skies surround us the dystopian world continues. Evan wants to visit his home and report to his mother. Nat is reluctant at first but agrees to go with him. The different settlements have lived independently for many years. They all have their rules. Evan and Nat do not receive the welcoming they expect, and a whole new complication is put in their path. Evan's home, Dome 569 isn't like Nat's. Her world has been turned upside down yet again, and she sees a whole new dystopian.

Here skies surround us is an interesting concept and a whole new disaster. The world is a scary place. Nat and Evan have to find their place and navigate their new surroundings.

4.5 stars. I am one who typically struggles with a second book in a series. NOT THIS SERIES! Melanie has crafted a story to keep you interested from cover to cover with this series. This second book picks up where the first leaves off, and a lot happens in those 300 pages!
